Overview

The Maracajá flee their island homeland as Cunhambebe’s forces press from land and sea. Hold the route open for the refugee Carts while protecting Arariboia’s settlement; building a safe corridor first can keep the refugees out of the fighting.

Player approach

Exodus links its opening defense to campaign carryover: the rescued villagers can begin later missions as workers or soldiers. Delay the refugee cart in a safe place while you stabilize the map and remove the strongest threats.

Step-by-step plan

Choose the refugee reward according to the next missions’ needs, then block the cart near its spawn rather than escorting it through an active battlefield. Use the starting hills for elevation advantage, secure the economy, and weaken Cunhambebe’s Army before opening the route. Destroy or contain the Raiders’ Blacksmith and use buildings as obstacles to funnel attacks; send Villagers in small escorted groups because hidden snakes make unprotected walling risky. Once the threat is reduced and the route is watched, clear the blockade and guide the cart to safety.

Risks and adjustments

The cart is vulnerable while moving, and traditional Stone or Palisade Walls are unavailable. A poorly placed House blockade can channel enemies into the wrong flank, so preserve a controlled opening for your own forces and recheck the route before releasing the refugees.
