CAMPAIGN · DAWN OF THE DUKES
The Tatar Yoke
Algirdas leads a fixed army to seize Kiev while Kestutis manages the economy from a separate allied city. Secure Kiev, protect your brother, and then break the Golden Horde’s three forces; destroying their Docks and commanders can ease the campaign.

Overview

Player approach
The Tatar Yoke provides no Villager production, so every worker is valuable. Protect the Cyan allies’ gifts and replace ordinary food income with Fish Traps, while using trade for gold.
Step-by-step plan
Keep the gifted Villagers behind walls and Castle coverage, then use Fishing Ships and Fish Traps to sustain food. Add Trade Cogs and wagons for a gold flow instead of risking workers at exposed mines. Collect the three Relics for the Lithuanian attack bonus, and build a strong Castle network with the plentiful stone. A Paladin-heavy force can answer most enemy groups while a smaller reserve guards the economy.
Risks and adjustments
Villagers cannot be replaced through normal production, so do not use them as forward builders or bait. Do not rely on Leitis as the sole front line; their weaker pierce protection makes them less reliable under ranged fire.
