Opening decision and first timing
Faster Lumberjacks make early military buildings and Farms easier to fund. Use fast infantry to reach exposed Villagers or walls before the opponent fully closes the map, then preserve the group once a strong ranged defense appears. Keep food production aligned with Barracks queues rather than spending every extra wood on more buildings.
Composition, counters, and transition
Fast-firing siege is the main way a Celtic army turns field control into destroyed defenses. Screen Mangonels and Rams with infantry, and scout cavalry or siege that can dive them. Woad Raiders can reach a vulnerable flank but should not replace the whole front line when a sturdier infantry mass is needed. A siege push works best from a defended rally point, with repair and reinforcement routes kept open.
Opening priorities

Technology & transition
Convert a successful rush into siege-supported pushes; retain enough economy to replace losses.
Watch for
The archer technology tree is limited, so keep a plan for ranged threats and avoid building the whole army around archers.
