Lake Poyang rewards using the transport force to capture a small peasant colony and a Trebuchet, then removing Towers before they can threaten the fleet. Establish a resource foothold before committing to a wider naval push.
Plan and execution
Fight only enough ships to clear the first approach while sending the Villager transport to the eastern shore. Gather the gold and wood there, then load the Trebuchet and supporting troops to land near the lumber camp. Capture the peasant colony and use the Trebuchet to remove Towers before they can fire on your ships. Clear nearby defenders with the remaining soldiers, begin food production, and build the Monastery and other support buildings needed to sustain the next stage.
Risks and adaptation
Leaving the Towers standing risks the transports and landing army. Do not unload the whole force before the shore is scouted, and keep the Trebuchet protected while it works through the defensive line.
