A naval defense and escort mission under recurring time pressure. Open a safe passage through the blockade, protect five separate supply convoys, then hold Nanchang while villagers finish the Wonder.
Player approach
Lake Poyang rewards using the transport force to capture a small peasant colony and a Trebuchet, then removing Towers before they can threaten the fleet. Establish a resource foothold before committing to a wider naval push.
Step-by-step plan
Fight only enough ships to clear the first approach while sending the Villager transport to the eastern shore. Gather the gold and wood there, then load the Trebuchet and supporting troops to land near the lumber camp. Capture the peasant colony and use the Trebuchet to remove Towers before they can fire on your ships. Clear nearby defenders with the remaining soldiers, begin food production, and build the Monastery and other support buildings needed to sustain the next stage.
Risks and adjustments
Leaving the Towers standing risks the transports and landing army. Do not unload the whole force before the shore is scouted, and keep the Trebuchet protected while it works through the defensive line.

- Escort the first shipment safely to the Nanchang temple site.
- Escort all four later shipments without losing a transport.
- Complete the Temple of Heaven Wonder and defend it from attack.
- Optional: pay the pirates to attack the Han or hire a Dragon Ship.
