Effect & research conditions
Research costs 150 Wood and 150 Coin and takes 10 seconds. The modifier belongs to Apache Cavalry against Villagers; it is not a general Cavalry attack increase and does not improve damage against military targets. Access depends on the Apache settlement connection, and the bonus matters only while the player fields Apache Cavalry.
Research condition
Available from the Fortress Age. Research it at Trading Post or Tambo on an Apache settlement.
When to research
Research before a raid when Apache Cavalry can reach exposed workers and escape. Scout resource lines, approach along a route that avoids Town Center fire and keep anti-cavalry support away from the raiders. If the opponent defends workers closely, the bonus alone will not make a direct charge efficient; use it when the map offers openings.
A targeted payoff from the Apache alliance
Apache Raiders is a focused improvement: its value comes from the settlement alliance, Apache Cavalry and access to Villager targets—not from increasing the entire army’s strength. The short research time lets a player prepare shortly before harassment, but spending Wood and Coin still delays other choices. Keep the cavalry moving after attacking and avoid trading it into defensive buildings. If worker pressure is not possible, save resources for a technology with broader impact.
