Berber Fantasia
Berber Fantasia is an Exploration Age Berber alliance technology that increases the vision of Berber Camel Riders, Berber Sultan and Zenata Riders, and gives those units a Musket Attack. The upgrade changes their tactical reach and attack option rather than simply adding more hit points.

Effect & research conditions

When to research
Research when these Berber units will remain in the army and the additional vision or Musket Attack fits the matchup. The long research time and three-resource cost make it less attractive for a one-time unit delivery or a force that is about to switch composition. Secure the alliance site and protect the affected units while the research completes.
Separate vision from the new attack
Berber Camel Riders and the Berber Sultan gain five Line of Sight, while Zenata Riders gain three. The three named unit types also receive a Musket Attack. These are separate effects: the extra vision improves what the mounted force can see, while the new attack changes how the unit can engage. Neither effect applies to every Berber unit, and the technology does not state a general hit-point increase.
A long alliance investment
The 50-second research costs 200 Food, Wood and Coin at a Trading Post or Tambo on a Berber kingdom. Complete it while the affected units are protected and before a timing where their new attack can be used. A Berber force that has moved on to other unit types will gain little from the investment, and the site must remain available throughout the research. Use the added sight to scout and choose engagements rather than charging into counters.
