Role, availability & values

The group uses 14 population and takes 40 seconds under the recorded Consulate rules. Redcoats provide the main body of the force while the Falconet supplies siege and ranged pressure. The unit name describes the foreign contingent; it does not mean the player must be British.

Training & availability

Chinese or Indian Consulate Banner Army; Fortress Age; select British Allies; 800 Export; 40 seconds; 14 population; 9 Redcoats and 1 Consulate Falconet in Definitive Edition.

Matchup & timing

Choose it when the army can use infantry and artillery together and has room for the population cost. Keep the Falconet behind a screen and use the Redcoats to prevent enemy units from reaching it. Compare the arrival time with other Consulate options if immediate defense is needed.

Protect the Consulate Falconet

The group’s nine Redcoats screen its Consulate Falconet and help the artillery remain in range of useful targets. Keep the Falconet behind the infantry, and avoid spending its 14 population on a map position where the force cannot be reinforced. The Fortress Age timing and 40-second training period make it a planned reinforcement rather than an instant emergency response.

Force size and earlier composition

The Fortress Age company costs 800 Export and takes 40 seconds at the Chinese or Indian Consulate after choosing British Allies. It uses 14 population and delivers nine Redcoats with one Consulate Falconet. Before the Definitive Edition it contained eight Redcoats and used 13 population, so older counts should not be mixed into the current force.

Artillery supported by infantry

The Redcoats screen the Falconet and provide the body of the army; the Falconet adds siege and ranged artillery pressure. The source compares this force with the British Expeditionary Company: the Fortress Age option costs twice as much, arrives later, and adds a Falconet alongside three extra Redcoats. Choose it when the artillery role is worth that larger commitment.
