Effect & research conditions
The technology costs 350 Wood and 350 Coin and takes 10 seconds. Its modifiers apply to Cheyenne Riders against the two named target classes; it is not a general increase to their attack. Check the rider’s attack panel and target tags in the active version before counting the bonus in a matchup.
Research condition
Available from the Exploration Age. Research it at Trading Post or Tambo on a Cheyenne settlement.
When to research
Research when Cheyenne Riders are part of the army and the opponent fields Cavalry or Shock Troops. Use the Riders to select those targets and keep them screened from units that counter their own role. If the opponent relies on infantry or artillery instead, the specialized research may not repay its cost.
A matchup upgrade for Cheyenne Riders
Cheyenne Fury improves the Rider’s bonus damage against Cavalry and Shock Troops, making target selection central to its value. Focus those classes when the fight allows it, rather than assuming the technology increases every attack equally. The Cheyenne settlement is the research access point and may itself be contested, so secure the Trading Post or Tambo before the engagement. The short research time lets players prepare for a known opponent composition, but the 700-resource cost still competes with production.
