Dock Rickshaw

Dock Rickshaw is an Asian construction wagon that can establish a Dock or Port without its normal building cost. It is useful on maps where water access matters but the civilization’s Home City content supplies the structure as a mobile delivery. Its purpose is to create shoreline infrastructure; it does not fish, transport troops or fight as a warship.

Role, availability & values

The recorded unit has 250 hit points and 4.0 speed. Move it to a valid shoreline and use its construction ability to place the Dock or Port. Access depends on the relevant Asian civilization and shipment or scenario rules. After placement, the building’s fishing, ship-production and technology options follow the active civilization’s roster.

Matchup & timing

Scout the coast before the wagon arrives and select a shore where Fishing Boats can reach resources and the Dock can be defended. The free building saves the normal construction payment, but the wagon remains exposed while travelling and the naval economy still needs boats, workers and protection.

Asian shoreline construction

The Dock Rickshaw builds a Dock or Port for free at twice the normal construction rate. It has 250 hit points, 4.0 speed and 20% siege resistance; the wagon itself does not fish or produce ships. Players start with one on the Honshu map, which lets the Japanese establish naval production immediately, while other Asian civilizations can receive one through their Home City options. The target can be a Dock or an African Port where that building is available to the civilization. Scout the coast before dispatching it and select a location where Fishing Ships can reach fish and the fleet can protect the structure. A free Dock saves Wood, but the ship and technology costs still apply, and the Rickshaw is lost if it is destroyed before placement.

Construction speed and map start

The Dock Rickshaw builds its chosen Dock or Port at twice the normal rate and is consumed on placement. On Honshu, the player starts with one, so the map’s shoreline is part of the opening plan. At other maps, the relevant shipment can deliver it. Its free structure still needs Fishing Ships, warships and protection, so choose a coast that can sustain activity rather than the nearest empty water tile.

Asian free Dock or Port construction

The Dock Rickshaw is an Asian construction wagon that builds a Dock or Port without the ordinary resource payment. It has 250 hit points, four speed and 18 line of sight, and its role is to establish shoreline infrastructure rather than gather, transport or fight. Once placed, the Dock’s ship production and technologies follow the civilization that supplied the Rickshaw. Access depends on Home City shipments or scenario rules, so it is not a universal starting unit.

Prepare the coastline before shipment

Scout a protected shore where Fishing Boats can reach fish and ships can be reinforced safely. The Rickshaw remains vulnerable during travel, so escort it if opponents control nearby water. A free building saves Wood but does not provide the boats, workers or naval protection needed to use it. Build when water access supports a clear economy or landing plan, and protect the completed Dock so its production can continue.
