Excessive Tribute
Excessive Tribute is an Imperial Age economic technology for Native American civilizations in Age of Empires III: The WarChiefs. After Earth Gift Ceremony has been researched, it increases several Villager Coin gathering rates and Hacienda Coin auto-gather by 50%; Fishing Ships also gather Coin from Whales 50% faster.

Effect
Research at an Estate in the Imperial Age; the listed cost is 1,000 Food and 1,000 Wood and the research takes 30 seconds. The Villager bonus applies to Coin from mines, Mountain Monasteries, Estates, Rice Paddies, Fields and Haciendas. The separate Hacienda automatic Coin rate also rises by 50%, and Fishing Ships gain 50% faster Whale gathering. This is a source-specific upgrade, not a blanket increase to all income.
Research condition

Research decision
Research when the economy is actively using several of these Coin sources and can spare the large cost without stalling the army. The improvement compounds over continued gathering, so it is more valuable with many assigned Villagers, active Hacienda auto-gather or safe Whale fishing. If those sources are absent or exposed, prioritize a technology that affects the income you actually have.
Check which income source receives the bonus
Villager work rate improves by 50% for Coin collected from mines, Mountain Monasteries, Estates, Rice Paddies, Fields and Haciendas. Hacienda automatic Coin gathering also receives its own 50% increase. Fishing Ships receive the same percentage increase when gathering Coin from Whales. Food gathering, ordinary ship fishing and unrelated building income are not covered by these listed effects.
A costly upgrade that needs time to repay
At 1,000 Food and 1,000 Wood, Excessive Tribute is a substantial Imperial Age purchase. Thirty seconds of research adds another delay before the faster gathering begins. Estimate how many workers and ships can use it and whether their source will remain available; a large bonus produces little value if the Coin deposits are nearly exhausted or the fishing fleet cannot be protected.
