Effect & research conditions
Research costs 500 Food and 500 Coin and takes 10 seconds; ten Tomahawks appear at the Home City shipment point. The technology unlocks Haudenosaunee War Party afterward. With the Industrial Age Old Ways Home City Card, its research cost is reduced to 250 Food and 250 Coin.
Research condition
Haudenosaunee; Fortress Age; Town Center; requires Haudenosaunee Scouting Party; 500 Food · 500 Coin; 10 seconds; Old Ways reduces cost to 250 Food · 250 Coin.
When to research
Use the delivery when ten Tomahawks can reinforce the army faster than ordinary production. The 10-second Town Center research is quicker than their default 60-second training, but their population and rally route still matter. Start before the force is needed, then continue to Haudenosaunee War Party only if another Tomahawk shipment fits the plan.
Prerequisite and unit arrival
The Fortress Age research requires Haudenosaunee Scouting Party and costs 500 Food and 500 Coin. It delivers ten Tomahawks in ten seconds and unlocks further research in Haudenosaunee War Party. Reserve population and keep the shipment together with the force that can protect its melee approach; the Town Center research should be timed around worker production.
Prerequisite chain and delivery timing
This Fortress Age Town Center research is available after Haudenosaunee Scouting Party. It costs 500 Food and 500 Coin, takes ten seconds and delivers ten Tomahawks; it also opens the follow-up Haudenosaunee War Party research. The delivery is a timed reinforcement, so begin the research before the army needs to arrive and reserve population space. The large combined resource cost competes with age advancement, Villager production and an immediate unit queue. Compare the expected arrival time with the opponent's push rather than treating the ten Tomahawks as a free emergency response.
Using the Tomahawks as a group
The Tomahawks arrive together and can add a concentrated melee force, but they still need a safe approach to become useful. Rally them toward an existing army or a defended route instead of sending the group alone into ranged fire. Their value is higher when the rest of the force can prevent the opponent from kiting or isolating them. If the planned follow-up is Haudenosaunee War Party, account for the second research and its resource demands separately; unlocking that option does not mean the next upgrade has already been paid for or completed.
