Effect & research conditions

Research it at a Trading Post or Tambo built on a Seminole settlement. It costs 225 Food and 225 Coin and takes 30 seconds. The effect applies to Seminole Sharktooth Bowmen, not to all archers or the player’s entire army. The settlement site and allied access are therefore prerequisites to the upgrade; a generic Trading Post elsewhere does not meet the listed condition.

Research condition

Available from the Exploration Age. Research it at Trading Post or Tambo on a Seminole settlement.

When to research

Research before relying on Seminole Sharktooth Bowmen in repeated fights, especially when the improved durability can preserve a group between skirmishes. The regeneration is gradual rather than an instant heal, so withdraw damaged survivors and give them time to recover. If the army is not using the affected Bowmen, the resource cost is better spent on a relevant unit or economy upgrade.

A settlement-specific unit improvement

The technology belongs to the Seminole Minor Civilization and must be researched through the correct settlement connection. Its 10% hit-point increase and 0.25% per-second regeneration both benefit Seminole Sharktooth Bowmen. The bonus supports attrition over time; it does not make the Bowmen invulnerable or remove their normal counters. Keep them out of a losing engagement so their additional health and slow recovery can matter.

Allow for the research delay

Thirty seconds is long enough that the technology should be planned before a major fight. Set aside 225 Food and 225 Coin, secure the Trading Post or Tambo, and research while the army is assembling. Once complete, regroup damaged Bowmen where they can regenerate safely instead of feeding them into combat one at a time.
