Settlement & allied options

A Trading Post at the settlement unlocks the alliance. Inca players use a Tambo for the same purpose. The listed allied roster includes Seminole Sharktooth Bowman. Its settlement offers these technologies: Seminole Guerilla Wars, Seminole Bowyer, Seminole Invincibles. The available roster and technologies can vary with the selected map and release.

When to ally

Scout the map for a Seminole settlement before spending resources on an alliance. Use it when the listed unit or technology fills a need in the army or economy, and protect the Trading Post that provides access.

Sharktooth Bowman role and values

The Seminole Sharktooth Bowman is Commerce Age ranged infantry with 115 hit points, 20% ranged resistance and 4.5 speed. It costs 50 Food and 50 Wood and takes 30 seconds to train. Its ranged attack deals 16 damage at range 16, with bonuses against Light ranged cavalry, Ranged shock troopers and Heavy infantry; its ranged damage is reduced against Cavalry and Shock troops. This makes target selection important: keep the bowmen at range and use another answer for units that resist their attack profile.

Three technologies, three different jobs

Seminole Bowyer costs 250 Wood and 250 Coin and increases archer damage by 15%. Seminole Invincibles costs 225 Food and 225 Coin; it gives Sharktooth Bowmen 10% more hit points and 0.25% hit-point regeneration per second. Seminole Guerilla Wars costs 350 Food and 350 Coin and improves the Bowmen’s building pressure with +3 bonus damage against buildings and six additional range on their siege attack. The effects are specific to the named archer or unit line, not a general army-wide upgrade.

Settlement and map access

Seminole settlements are listed on Bayou, Carolina and Florida. Build a Trading Post on the settlement, or a Tambo as Inca, to research its technologies and train the allied unit; the Native Embassy is another training route for the Bowman. Scout the settlement early, then compare the military or building-pressure upgrade with the resources needed for regular production.
