When to research
Research when the Red Sea Wagon’s building option is useful and there will be several future shipments to carry Fishing Boats. The one-time wagon has immediate placement value, while the recurring boat benefit grows with later shipments. On a land-focused map or near the end of the match, the future-ship benefit has less time to matter; reserve population for the boat arrivals.
An immediate wagon and a recurring shipment bonus
The research initially provides one Red Sea Wagon. Separately, every future Home City shipment delivers an additional Fishing Boat. This second effect continues after the initial wagon is used, so the value depends on how many shipments remain and whether the map supports fishing.
Civilization and alliance access
