Opening decision and first timing
The extra resources from the first Town Center can fund a deliberate early attack, and discounted Barracks or Archery Range research helps the opening arrive with relevant upgrades. Returned resources from casualties reduce the cost of combat but never make bad trades profitable. Scout first and attack a real target rather than feeding units into a protected base.
Composition, counters, and transition
Blackwood Archers and Ibirapema Warriors create a mixed force that can press different defenses. Use Settlements for safer forward gathering or garrison points only when they can be held. In longer fights, replenishment matters: keep production nearby and shift the composition as the opponent adds counters, rather than relying on the refund mechanic alone.
Opening priorities

Core army
Champi and Ibirapema lines support aggressive infantry pressure and counter-focused fighting.
Technology & transition
Maintain combat activity while adding production, using returned resources to sustain the next wave.
Watch for
A passive opening gives up the value of the bonuses; still scout enough to avoid feeding units into prepared counters.
