Wei: Plan for a quick Feudal Age, when economic research starts adding Villagers and strengthening the economy. Cavalry is a major strength; pair it with the available ranged or siege support as the matchup requires.
Opening decision and first timing
Each economic technology grants a Villager, so plan the research order around upgrades the working economy can use. A rushed technology that leaves military production empty may not be the best first spend. Use the Feudal transition to turn the extra workers into food and gold for a real cavalry queue.
Composition, counters, and transition
Tiger Cavalry and Xianbei Raiders benefit from later hit point gains, and cheaper Traction Trebuchets can support a push against buildings. Keep the mounted army in motion, but avoid charging it into a prepared anti-cavalry line. The Chronicles roster and age names differ from the medieval civilizations; check the matching technology tree before following a conventional Knight build.
Opening priorities
Plan for a quick Feudal Age, when economic research starts adding Villagers and strengthening the economy.
Core army
Cavalry is a major strength; pair it with the available ranged or siege support as the matchup requires.
Technology & transition
Invest the Feudal economic gains into a Castle Age army and use the strong mounted roster to maintain tempo.
Watch for
The Dark Age has few bonuses; protect the opening and do not delay the Feudal transition.
