Role, availability & values

It has 420 hit points. It moves at 5.0 speed. Training costs 200 Food; it takes 10 seconds to train. Attack profile: Hand attack deals 10 damage. Hand attack bonuses: 1.2× against Treasure guardian, 0.5× against Hero, and 0.1× against Villager.

Matchup & timing

Hand attack is especially effective against Treasure guardian (1.2×). Its reduced multipliers against Hero (0.5×), Villager (0.1×) make it less suitable for those targets. Hold the melee attack for Treasure guardian when they enter contact. Keep a frontline between this unit and threats that can reach it safely.

Yukon treasure pet and edition changes

Big Jerome is found exclusively on Yukon, rescued as a cub from certain Treasures. Its current profile has 420 hit points, 5.0 speed, 10 hand damage and a 1.5-second attack interval; it costs 200 Food, trains in 10 seconds, and is capped at 12. The original version instead lists 450 Food, 45 XP per train or kill, and a 3.0-times damage multiplier against Treasure guardians. Definitive Edition reduces those to 200 Food, 20 XP and 1.2-times guardian damage, while adding a 0.5-times multiplier against Heroes. Against Villagers it deals only 0.1-times damage. Like other pets, it gains automatic Age upgrades of +20%, +30%, +40% and +60% hit points and damage across Ages II to V. Its large health pool makes it a durable Treasure companion, but the reduction in guardian damage means the older 3× value must not be used for a current DE match. Use it to support an Explorer around Yukon’s Treasure sites and keep it away from fights where its limited modifiers provide no advantage.

Combat role and health improvements

At 420 hit points Big Jerome has the largest recorded health pool among the pets described in this profile, but the current guardian multiplier is only 1.2×. The original 3.0× guardian value and 450-Food cost belong to the earlier version. Eligible hit-point effects include Maya Cotton Armor, Infantry Breastplate and Tar Kilns; damage can be improved by Cult of the Dead, Kasiri Beer and Master Lessons, while Wind Horses affects attack rate and movement. These effects depend on cards and civilizations, so the base values remain the best default when comparing a Yukon treasure reward. Big Jerome is durable enough to help the Explorer, but its 0.1× attack against Villagers makes it a poor raider.
