Role, availability & values

Production is available through Haudenosaunee War Chief (with the "High Chief" Home City Card). It has 115 hit points. It moves at 5.0 speed. Training costs 85 Food; it takes 10 seconds to train. Attack profile: Hand attack deals 9 damage. Hand attack bonuses: 3.0× against Treasure guardian and 0.1× against Villager.

Matchup & timing

Buck is a Haudenosaunee War Chief pet unlocked by the High Chief Home City Card. He has 115 hit points and a 9-damage attack, with a 3× bonus against Treasure Guardians; keep him with the Chief to support nearby exploration. The card condition makes him deck-dependent, so do not plan an opening that assumes every Haudenosaunee match can train Buck.

Haudenosaunee War Chief pet

Buck is a special wolf pet available through the Haudenosaunee War Chief with the High Chief Home City Card. It costs 85 Food, trains in 10 seconds and has 115 hit points, 10% hand resistance, speed 5.0 and line of sight 12. Its hand attack deals nine damage every 1.5 seconds, with a 3× bonus against Treasure guardians and 0.1× damage against Villagers. The profile makes Buck useful for assisting an Explorer in a Treasure fight, while its low worker damage and modest combat role argue against using it for raiding. The High Chief card condition is important: do not assume the wolf is available in every Haudenosaunee deck or match. Keep Buck with the War Chief or Explorer, clear the guardians with support and collect the reward promptly. Its 85-Food cost competes with early production, so use the pet when a Treasure route is part of the plan. Protect it from ordinary military units after the guardian encounter.

High Chief card condition

Buck’s access depends on the High Chief Home City Card and the Haudenosaunee War Chief. It costs 85 Food, has 115 hit points and deals triple damage against Treasure guardians. Keep it with the hero and avoid spending the pet’s limited health on ordinary units.

Treasure and card access

High Chief is required for the Haudenosaunee War Chief to access Buck. The wolf’s triple guardian damage is useful during a Treasure expedition but poor against Villagers.

Haudenosaunee card setup

Select High Chief before expecting the War Chief to provide Buck. The wolf is a pet for Treasure guardians and should remain with the Explorer after the fight.

Explorer support

Buck deals nine base hand damage and triple damage to Treasure guardians. Use the wolf with the Haudenosaunee War Chief, then keep it protected after the Treasure is claimed.

Food cost and combat use

At 85 Food, Buck is cheaper than some pet units but still takes resources from the opening. It has 115 hit points and nine base hand damage, with a 3× bonus against Treasure guardians. Use the High Chief card’s access and War Chief support to clear a reward, then withdraw the wolf from ordinary soldiers. Its 0.1× Villager modifier makes worker attacks inefficient.

Treasure guardian counter

The 3× bonus applies to Treasure guardians, while the 0.1× Villager modifier makes the wolf ineffective as a raider. Keep it with the Explorer and Haudenosaunee War Chief.

Treasure collection

After the guardian is defeated, use the Explorer to claim the Treasure and withdraw Buck. The wolf is not suited to fighting ordinary troops.

Tame wolf card effect

High Chief is required for Buck’s access through the Haudenosaunee War Chief. Without that card, plan a Treasure fight with the units the current roster provides.

Haudenosaunee pet wolf and card access

Buck the Tame Wolf is a pet available to the Haudenosaunee War Chief when the High Chief Home City Card is included. He costs 85 Food and takes 10 seconds to train, giving the player a fast companion for an early expedition once the card condition is met. At 115 hit points and five speed, he can travel with the War Chief and help against Treasure guardians, where his nine-damage hand attack receives a 3× bonus. His 0.1× modifier against Villagers makes him a poor raider, and his limited health means he should not be sent alone into an army.

Treasure support and protection

Bring Buck to a Treasure only after scouting the guardian and checking that the War Chief and nearby troops can finish the fight. The pet’s bonus helps in that specific matchup, but it does not protect the Explorer from other guardians or enemy reinforcements. Keep Buck close enough to support the expedition and retreat if his health falls quickly. Because access comes from a Home City Card, the player must weigh that card against other early shipments. The wolf’s value lies in helping secure exploration rewards and accompanying the War Chief, not in taking the place of a trained infantry line.
