Role, availability & values

It has 500 hit points and 10% ranged resistance. It moves at 6.25 speed. Attack profile: Siege attack: 15 damage at range 6; every 3.0 seconds. Hand attack: 6 damage; every 1.5 seconds; area of effect 2. Sharpshooter attack: 750 damage at range 16; every 3.0 seconds. Special ability or role: Claims treasures; Builds the Sejm, Town Centers, and Trading Posts; Auto scout. If reduced to zero hit points, it collapses rather than dying; after regenerating 100 hit points, a friendly unit or building nearby can revive it.

Matchup & timing

Use the hero to reveal the map, defeat manageable Treasure guardians and claim nearby Treasures; avoid trading the hero’s health for a reward guarded by a force it cannot beat. A Trading Post ability turns the hero into an early map-control tool; scout the route first and build where the site can be defended. Use the Town Center ability to establish expansion only after scouting a safe location and enough nearby resources. Use auto-scouting to reveal a route while the main army handles another task, then check the exposed path before sending the hero into combat. If it collapses, keep a friendly unit or building nearby and protect the recovery period until it reaches 100 hit points. This hero can also be recovered by paying 100 Coin at the Town Center, according to its scenario rules.

Polish hero abilities and automatic Age upgrades

The Hetman replaces the Explorer for the Poles. He can claim Treasures and build Sejms, Town Centers and Trading Posts; his 500 hit points, 6.25 speed and 10% ranged resistance make him a mobile early-game hero. His mace deals 6 damage every 1.5 seconds in a radius of 2 and has a strong 3.0 multiplier against Treasure Guardians, while his 15-point siege attack has range 6. His 750-damage Sharpshooter attack has range 16, a three-second interval and a 60-second cooldown, but it can target Guardians only. On defeat he collapses and regenerates; a nearby friendly unit or building can revive him after he reaches 100 hit points, or the player can pay 100 Coin at the Town Center to restore him. Each Age automatically upgrades his hit points and damage. The Grand Hetman card adds a Fealty Aura that scales with nearby land military units and a passive area heal for friendly Cavalry, turning proximity to the army into support rather than simply a personal combat bonus.

Polish hero and field utility

Hetman is a Polish hero with 500 hit points, speed 6.25 and 10% ranged resistance. In addition to fighting and claiming Treasure, the Hetman can construct a Sejm, Town Centers and Trading Posts, allowing the hero to help establish important infrastructure while the main workers remain on the economy. The unit’s Sharpshooter attack deals 750 damage, an exceptional ability suited to its special target and cooldown rules rather than ordinary repeated combat. Its mixture of scouting, construction and hero utility makes it valuable to keep alive between engagements.

Recovery and ransom rules

When defeated, the Hetman collapses and can be revived at 100 hit points; a Town Center can ransom the hero for 100 Coin. These recovery rules make safe withdrawal worthwhile once health is low, particularly when the Hetman is carrying Treasure or is needed to construct a forward building. Use the hero to scout and support expansion, but do not leave it exposed to concentrated fire simply because it has a powerful special attack. The Hetman’s construction list and abilities are specific to the Polish roster and the applicable game version; they should not be read as standard Explorer abilities for other civilizations.
