Revolution artillery upgrade
Hinterlader is a Factory technology available to Prussia and the German Confederation after a German Revolution, once the Spandau Arms Factory Home City Card has been sent. It takes 40 seconds and costs 200 Wood and 600 Coin. It improves the rate of fire of Culverins, Horse Artillery, and Heavy Cannons by 10%. The effect applies to these artillery types; it does not improve every unit in the army.
Investing in an artillery force
The upgrade matters most when the Revolution plan already includes sustained artillery production. Faster firing improves the pressure those guns can maintain, but the Factory research and card requirement make it a later, specialized investment rather than an early answer to a rush. Protect the artillery from Cavalry and other units that can close distance while it fires. Before researching, confirm that the army has the listed gun types and that the Factory is safe; if the army is primarily infantry or Cavalry, the technology will not support its current composition.
