Niger River
Niger River is a land Random Map from Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition – The African Royals. Each player begins with an extra Town Center wagon, which can establish a foothold across the river in this resource-rich region.
River crossing & extra Town Center
The wagon makes the second Town Center an opening choice rather than a later expansion. Akan and Yoruba settlements are listed, and the river region includes a Trade Route. The surrounding climate is dry but offers ample resources. Scout the opposite bank before deciding where to build.
Placing the second base
A Town Center across the river can claim space and shorten access to resources, but the wagon and construction site may be exposed. A safer location still extends the economy while reducing early risk. Native settlements offer another reason to explore, but do not let every unit leave the starting base.
Practical direction
Inspect crossings, resource clusters and settlements before committing the wagon. Choose a site that can be defended, then keep a route between the two Town Centers for units and Villagers. Coordinate rally points so an attack on one bank does not leave the other isolated.
