Pampas Sierras
Pampas Sierras is a Definitive Edition Random Map with Mapuche, Quechua and Tupi settlements. These three Native alliance options create different potential army and technology choices, while generated terrain and starting positions determine which settlement is practical to reach.

Map character
Scout from the Town Center for safe Food, Coin and Wood, then locate the Trade Route and all three settlement sites before spending on an alliance. A Trading Post at a settlement provides access to that alliance’s available units and technologies. The actual distance and exposure of each site depend on the generated layout, so compare the path and nearby objectives as well as the alliance’s roster.
What to scout
Choose an alliance to fill a specific gap in the army or technology plan, and secure the route to it before investing. If opponents are nearby, protect the Trading Post and keep a path for reinforcements. Use the map name for the AOE3 layout only; it does not imply that every match has the same resource distribution.
No Trade Route: choose between livestock and Treasure
Pampas Sierras is a land map with Mapuche, Quechua and Tupi settlements, but no Trade Route. Its thematic description places wild llamas in the western Pampian mountains and Treasure opportunities in the lowlands. The early choice is therefore about what can be secured first: invest in livestock where access is safe, or send a force to contest the lowland Treasures. Generated resource placement and player starting positions change the practical answer from match to match.
Native alliances offer different early pressure
Each of the three settlements can provide a distinct Native alliance through its Trading Post, so identify the closest site and its approach before choosing units or technologies. Mapuche, Quechua and Tupi are not interchangeable labels: the available roster and benefits depend on the selected settlement. Avoid placing a Trading Post in reach of an opponent unless the army can defend it. With no route income to contest, the map’s early objectives and local resources determine how quickly either player can turn a Native investment into pressure.
