Settlement & allied options

A Trading Post at the settlement unlocks the alliance. Inca players use a Tambo for the same purpose. The listed allied roster includes Quechua Huaminca, Quechua Bolas Warrior. Its settlement offers these technologies: Quechuan Metalworking, Quechuan Diet, Quechuan Mountaineering. The available roster and technologies can vary with the selected map and release.

When to ally

Scout the map for a Quechua settlement before spending resources on an alliance. Use it when the listed unit or technology fills a need in the army or economy, and protect the Trading Post that provides access.

Practical direction

Choose the unit by target rather than mixing them without a role: Huaminca provide the 3× hand-attack bonus against Cavalry and have 28 siege damage, while Bolas Warriors reach 12 range and receive 2.5× bonuses against Light ranged cavalry and Ranged shock troops and 2× against Heavy infantry. Their 8 ranged damage is reduced against Cavalry and Shock troops, so keep them screened. Quechuan Mountaineering speeds Infantry, not the entire army; Quechuan Diet shortens training for its listed classes but has named exceptions. The alliance is most efficient when its post remains safe long enough to use both the units and their follow-up technologies.

Two units cover different matchups

The Quechua Huaminca is Commerce Age heavy infantry with 170 hit points, 20% hand resistance and 5.0 speed. It costs 100 Food and 20 Wood, trains in 30 seconds, and deals 15 hand damage with a 3× bonus against Cavalry and 2.25× against Shock troops. The Quechua Bolas Warrior costs 40 Food and 55 Wood, trains in 28 seconds, and has 200 hit points, 10% ranged resistance and 4.5 speed. Its 8-damage ranged attack reaches range 12 and is strongest against Light ranged cavalry, Ranged shock troops and Heavy infantry. Use the Huaminca to stop cavalry at contact and the Bolas Warrior to apply ranged counter damage while screened.

Improve movement, replacement and economy separately

Quechuan Diet reduces training time by 15% for the listed Infantry, Cavalry, Shock Troops, War Academy and Castle banner armies; it costs 250 Food and 250 Coin and takes 10 seconds. Quechuan Mountaineering costs the same and increases Infantry speed by 10%, with a 60-second research time. Quechuan Metalworking costs 175 Food and 175 Coin and improves Villager gathering at Mines, Tribal Marketplaces and Mountain Monasteries by 20%, as well as Abun gathering at Mountain Monasteries. These upgrades respectively support replenishment, mobility and Coin income.

Settlement connection and army timing

The Quechua roster and technologies are accessed through a Trading Post or Inca Tambo on a Quechua settlement; the Native Embassy is another training route for the units. Secure the site before counting on the unit mix or technology chain, and choose the upgrade that addresses the immediate matchup or economy bottleneck.
