Role, availability & values
Production is available through European Barracks, Fort, Galleon, or American Citadel. It has 120 hit points and 30% ranged resistance. It moves at 4.25 speed and uses 1 population. Training costs 70 Food and 40 Coin; it takes 33 seconds to train. Attack profile: Hand attack deals 10 damage. Ranged attack deals 16 damage. Siege attack deals 14 damage. Ranged attack bonuses: 3.0× against Light ranged cavalry, 3.0× against Ranged shock trooper, 1.5× against Heavy infantry, 1.5× against Light infantry, 0.5× against Cavalry, and 0.5× against Shock troops.
Matchup & timing
Ranged attack is especially effective against Light ranged cavalry (3×), Ranged shock trooper (3×), Heavy infantry (1.5×), Light infantry (1.5×). Its reduced multipliers against Cavalry (0.5×), Shock troops (0.5×) make it less suitable for those targets. Use ranged fire to focus Light ranged cavalry, Ranged shock trooper, Heavy infantry, and Light infantry before they can close. Keep a frontline between this unit and threats that can reach it safely.
Polish skirmisher replacement and range upgrades
The Piechur is the Polish Commerce Age replacement for the Skirmisher. It costs 70 Food and 40 Coin, uses one population and trains in 33 seconds at a Barracks, Fort, Galleon or American Citadel. It has 120 hit points, 30% ranged resistance and 4.25 speed. Its ranged attack deals 16 damage from range 2 to 16, with a 3.0 multiplier against Light Ranged Cavalry and Ranged Shock Troops and a 1.5 multiplier against Heavy or Light Infantry. Its range is shorter than many skirmishers, and its low hit points make it vulnerable to melee Cavalry. Veteran Piechurs cost 200 Wood and 200 Coin in the Fortress Age and gain 20% hit points and damage plus two range and line of sight. Later Kurpie Marksmen and Imperial upgrades improve those values further. Keep a screen in front and use the range bonuses to answer enemy Infantry rather than sending the riflemen into melee.
Development through the Ages
Veteran Piechurs cost 200 Wood and 200 Coin and add 20% hit points and damage plus two range and line of sight. The Fortress-to-Industrial Kurpie Marksmen upgrade costs 750 of each resource and requires the Veteran upgrade; Imperial Kurpie Marksmen then cost 1,500 Wood and 1,500 Coin and add a further 50% hit points and damage. These upgrades extend the short base range, but do not remove the need to screen the unit from melee Cavalry.
Polish ranged infantry target bonuses
Piechur are Polish ranged infantry available from the Commerce Age at Barracks, Forts, Galleons or American Citadels in the recorded profile. Their 16-damage ranged attack gains a 3× bonus against Light ranged cavalry and Ranged shock troopers, and 1.5× against Heavy and Light infantry. They deal reduced damage against Cavalry and Shock troops, so keep anti-cavalry support close. At 120 hit points and 30% ranged resistance, they can trade at range but should avoid being caught by melee units.
Cost and sustained production
A Piechur costs 70 Food and 40 Coin, uses one population and takes 33 seconds to train. The 14-damage siege attack is secondary; use dedicated siege against defended buildings. Keep the ranged line grouped and focus targets that match its bonuses, while another unit type protects it from cavalry. Check the Polish roster and current game release before planning the production route, since special access may vary by scenario or patch.
