Snow Leopard
Snow Leopard is a Treasure guardian in Age of Empires III. It protects a map reward from the Explorer or another eligible hero and is not a unit the player trains for an army.

Role, availability & values
It has 175 hit points, moves at 7.0 speed and deals 10 hand damage. Its mobility lets it reach heroes approaching the Treasure. Other guardians or enemy units at the site can add danger beyond the Leopard’s own profile.
Matchup & timing
Defeat it before collecting the Treasure and inspect the area for additional guardians. Use support if the Explorer is already damaged, then claim the reward once the approach is clear.
Treasure guardian locations and hero matchup
Snow Leopards are Treasure Guardians in The Asian Dynasties and are found on the Himalayas, Mongolia and mountainous Silk Road map variant. Each has 175 hit points, 7.0 speed, 9 line of sight and a 10-damage hand attack with a 1.5-second interval. They are more dangerous than small guardians but less powerful than Lions or Tigers. One Explorer or two Monks can defeat a Snow Leopard according to the unit entry, though the player should account for any other guardians protecting the same Treasure and the hero’s current health. Defeat the guardian before collecting the reward; a fast guardian can close distance quickly if the Explorer is isolated.
Treasure experience and scouting
Defeating a Snow Leopard yields 12 Experience, adding to the value of clearing the Treasure site. The animal’s high movement speed means an Explorer should not approach while badly wounded or separated from support. After the fight, check whether the Treasure itself has additional guardians before sending the hero to claim it; the Leopard’s defeat does not automatically secure the whole site.
