Overview
Dynasty transitions add a second progression track to age advancement. Imperial Officials collect tax and supervise buildings, while unique units such as Zhuge Nu and Nest of Bees broaden the army.
Use in play
Plan building placement and Imperial Official supervision around the resources you intend to spend. A new dynasty is valuable when its bonus and unlocked unit support the current economy and army.
Dynasties and officials
Constructing the required landmarks advances the Chinese through dynasties, which can unlock bonuses and unit options. Imperial Officials collect taxes from buildings and can supervise economic or production structures. Their attention is a limited practical resource: choose whether a building needs accelerated output or whether the Official should continue collecting tax.
Army development
The Chinese can combine gunpowder units, Zhuge Nu and strong siege options, but the exact roster changes with age and dynasty. Imperial Academy supports the tax economy, while later landmarks and dynasty bonuses reward planning ahead. A composition should account for the opponent’s armor and cavalry rather than relying on one signature unit.
