Chief Brave Wolf

Chief Brave Wolf is a campaign hero in The WarChiefs scenario Battle of the Greasy Grass. He joins Chayton Black’s Lakota troops for the fight against General Custer; despite a stat profile that lists a cost and training time, he is not an ordinary selectable civilization unit in the standard roster.

Role, availability & values

The recorded profile lists 500 hit points, 10% ranged resistance, 8.1 speed and 18 Line of Sight. His hand attack deals 6 damage, with a 3× multiplier against Treasure Guardians and 0.25× against Villagers. He increases the speed of nearby friendly units, can claim Treasures and build Town Centers or Trading Posts, and can train War Dogs. After 3.5 seconds idle, his health regenerates at 0.25% per second. If he collapses, a friendly unit or building can revive him after he recovers to 100 hit points.

Matchup & timing

Use the speed aura to help Chayton’s force reposition, and keep Brave Wolf close enough to support the army without exposing him to concentrated fire. His bonus is specialized against Treasure Guardians and weak against Villagers, so he is not a general-purpose raider. In his campaign appearance, preserve the hero as a support piece and let the mission’s army handle Custer’s force.

Mission availability differs from the profile fields

The unit’s campaign article identifies Brave Wolf as appearing in Battle of the Greasy Grass, the final Act II: Shadow scenario, where he joins Chayton’s troops. The profile’s 200 Coin and 20-second fields should not be read as a normal War Hut training option for the player: his roster role is scripted by the mission. His campaign context and the unit’s listed abilities are more useful than treating him as a standard trainable Chief.
