Function & construction

Native Villagers and eligible construction units can build a Corral. The Aggressive Policy Home City Card also grants construction access to listed military units. The Corral trains and upgrades cavalry; it is not a shared universal Stable roster, and a unit such as the Axe Rider has a different role from cavalry in other civilizations.

Placement & timing

Build a Corral when the map or matchup rewards mobility, raids or a mounted counter. Scout the opponent’s anti-cavalry force before investing in repeated production, and support cavalry with infantry or ranged units. Place the building where reinforcements can reach the army without crossing an exposed route.

Cavalry roster and available improvements

The Commerce Age Corral costs 200 Wood, takes 30 seconds to build, has 2,500 hit points and 14 line of sight, and supports up to eight builders. Its roster is civilization-specific. Haudenosaunee can train Kanya Horsemen for 100 Food and 75 Wood in the Commerce Age, then Musket Riders for 55 Food and 100 Coin in the Fortress Age. Lakota can train Axe Riders for 150 Food and 50 Coin or Bow Riders for 100 Food and 75 Coin in the Commerce Age; Fortress choices include Rifle Riders at 120 Food and 90 Coin and Tashunke Prowlers at 125 Food and 75 Coin. The ordinary cavalry batches contain two units; Tashunke Prowlers have a listed batch limit of fourteen. Horse Secrets costs 400 Wood and 400 Coin for the Haudenosaunee and reduces cavalry training time by 35% while adding 10% speed. Lakota can research Bonepipe Armor for 500 Wood and 250 Coin to add 10% siege resistance to Lakota warriors.

Batch training and the Pack ability

A Corral can queue groups of up to five units, which helps turn a resource bank into a cavalry force quickly. Additional Corrals can train in parallel, but they also cost Wood and need a safe site; build another when production speed matters and the economy can keep both queues supplied. The Camp Movements Home City card grants the Corral the Pack ability, allowing it to move with the army rather than remain fixed at its original site. Packing trades immediate access to training for mobility, so move it before the army leaves and unpack in a position that can be defended. The Corral’s Haudenosaunee and Lakota rosters differ, and their cavalry improvements are civilization-specific; check the available list before planning a queue around a particular unit.
