Role, availability & values

Production is available through Inca War Chief or Kancha House. It has 65 hit points. It moves at 6.0 speed. Training costs 50 Food; it takes 6 seconds to train. Attack profile: Hand attack deals 5 damage. Hand attack bonuses: 1.5× against Treasure guardian and 0.25× against Villager. Special ability or role: Claims treasures.

Matchup & timing

Hand attack is especially effective against Treasure guardian (1.5×). Its reduced multipliers against Villager (0.25×) make it less suitable for those targets. Hold the melee attack for Treasure guardian when they enter contact. Keep a frontline between this unit and threats that can reach it safely.

Inca access, training and Treasure role

Peruvian Dogs are an Inca pet unit available in the Exploration Age. The Inca War Chief can train them, and Kancha Houses gain access after the Chiribaya Dogs Home City Card; the separate 5 Peruvian Dogs card unlocks training only at the War Chief. An Inca ally can send TEAM 3 Peruvian Dogs, and Peru can obtain them through its Cuzco card. Each dog costs 50 Food and takes six seconds to train, with 65 hit points, 6.0 speed and 10 line of sight. Its 5-damage hand attack has a 1.5 multiplier against Treasure Guardians and 0.25 against Villagers. Pets upgrade automatically in most Ages, though the listed Peruvian Dog progression skips the Industrial Age. Use it to help clear a Treasure or scout, not as a substitute for heavier military units; artillery is also listed as a weakness.

Pet progression and counters

Peruvian Dogs gain automatic hit-point and damage upgrades when the Inca advances through the Ages: 20% in Commerce, 30% in Fortress, 40% in Industrial and 60% in Imperial, with the Industrial transition specifically excluded from the listed automatic sequence. Their speed and small size make them handy for treasure work, but their low base health leaves them vulnerable once the opponent has an established army. Avoid engaging artillery, which the unit entry lists as a weakness, and use the dog’s Guardian bonus to shorten early treasure fights instead.
