Role, availability & values

His profile lists 500 hit points, 30% hand resistance, 4.5 speed and 18 Line of Sight. The Leadership Aura increases Native Warrior attack and hit points by 10% in Definitive Edition update 47581; earlier DE rules increased only their hit points by 20%. Condor Eye throws a 46-damage javelin at range 24, slows its target and has a 70-second cooldown. Swashbuckler deals 40 area damage and requires the Son of Inti Home City Card. If reduced to zero hit points, it collapses rather than dying; after regenerating 100 hit points, a friendly unit or building nearby can revive it.

Matchup & timing

Keep him close to Native Warriors when the aura can strengthen a push or defense, and use Condor Eye to pressure an important target before committing to melee. The hero can claim Treasures and construct Town Centers and Tambos; Stronghold construction is a Fortress Age option. The Chiribaya Dogs card enables Peruvian Dog training. If he collapses, protect the recovery area until he regenerates 100 hit points and a friendly unit or building can revive him.

Crack Shot, expansion and recovery

The Inca War Chief combines combat, construction and hero support. The profile lists 500 hit points, 30% hand resistance, speed 4.5 and line of sight 18. Its normal hand attack deals six damage, while the 46-damage Crack Shot reaches 24 and fires every 2.5 seconds in a single-target area. Swashbuckler deals 40 hand damage every two seconds over an area of two, and the siege attack deals 15. These distinct modes let the hero attack at range, respond when surrounded and contribute against a structure, but each has a context. Use Crack Shot on an important target at range, and Swashbuckler only when enemies close enough to expose themselves to the area attack. The chief can claim Treasures and build Town Centers, Tambos and Strongholds, giving the Incas an expansion and map-control tool. Scout the site before sending the hero to construct, and protect it while the hero is occupied. With the Chiribaya Dogs card, the chief can also train Peruvian Dogs. If the hero reaches zero hit points, it collapses rather than dying; after regenerating 100 health, a friendly unit or building can revive it. Maintain a safe recovery point and avoid abandoning the hero in hostile territory. The chief is a valuable unique unit, not a disposable scout. Use its construction options to secure a position and return it to the army when the site is safe.

Hero support and unit recovery

The War Chief can construct Town Centers, Tambos and Strongholds, claim Treasures and train Peruvian Dogs with the Chiribaya Dogs card. This combination gives the Incas scouting, expansion and military support through a single hero. Decide whether the next task is map control or combat, because the hero cannot safely do both when a major fight begins. If it collapses, a friendly unit or building must remain nearby while it regenerates 100 hit points for revival. Protect that recovery rather than treating the hero as a replaceable unit.

Ranged attack and close combat

Crack Shot gives the hero a long-range attack, while Swashbuckler is an area melee response when opponents close. Avoid using the melee attack to chase a unit that can kite; retain the hero’s mobility for Treasure collection or construction. Its Town Center, Tambo and Stronghold abilities can secure map control when a safe site is available.

Supporting settlements

The War Chief can construct Tambos and Strongholds as well as Town Centers, allowing it to link map control to Inca production. Use the structure that serves the current plan, then return the hero to exploration or combat once builders finish.

Managing the collapse mechanic

When the War Chief reaches zero health, it collapses and can recover near a friendly unit or building after reaching 100 health. Retreat early, protect the recovery area and do not leave the hero where enemies can prevent revival. This preserves the Inca’s scouting and structure-building options for later.

Protecting the hero over a long mission

The War Chief’s broad set of abilities makes it useful through several phases, but each action carries a cost in time and exposure. Build a Town Center or Stronghold when the location secures resources or a route, then return the hero to the army instead of leaving it forward. Crack Shot can contribute from range, while Swashbuckler is a close response against a group. Retreat before the hero collapses so its recovery mechanic does not become another objective to defend.

Inca hero, construction and ranged abilities

The Inca War Chief is a hero whose map-control abilities include claiming Treasures and constructing Town Centers, Tambos and Strongholds. He can also train Peruvian Dogs when the Chiribaya Dogs Home City Card is active. His 500 hit points, 30% hand resistance and 4.5 speed let him accompany an expedition, while Crack Shot reaches 24 range for 46 damage and Swashbuckler deals area damage to nearby enemies. These attacks have different purposes: Crack Shot pressures a target at range, while Swashbuckler is risky against a group if the hero is unsupported. Use construction to extend a secured position, not to leave the hero alone in enemy territory.

Collapse and the Peruvian Dogs card

At zero health the War Chief collapses rather than dying. A friendly unit or building nearby can revive him after he regenerates to 100 hit points, so withdraw the army to protect the recovery point if he falls. The Chiribaya Dogs card condition matters: without it, do not count Peruvian Dogs as part of his training ability. Strongholds and Tambos can create useful production or alliance access, but the site should be scouted and defended. Use the hero to lead exploration, build where the Inca can hold ground and preserve his attack abilities for engagements where the rest of the force can follow.
