Function & construction
The recorded structure costs 250 Wood and 50 Coin, takes 60 seconds to build and has a limit of five. It has 6,000 hit points and 32 line of sight. Its construction and role are scenario-specific; these statistics should not be treated as a standard civilization building profile.
Placement & timing
Place it where its attack can cover a route or objective and where the garrisoned Regent can remain protected. Keep mobile units nearby to contest enemy siege. Use it as a shipment destination only if the scenario and card allow that delivery, and protect the structure during its construction window.
Regicide map building and Regent defense
The Regent’s Castle is available only on the Regicide map in The Asian Dynasties. It costs 250 Wood and 50 Coin, takes 60 seconds to construct, has 6,000 hit points and a build limit of five. The structure can garrison up to twenty Villagers and the Regent and receives Home City shipments. Its ranged attack has 24 range and deals 30 damage every three seconds, with multipliers against Cavalry and Shock Troops; a separate attack reaches 40 to deter siege units. The castle is a clear defensive location for the Regent and has far more health than an Outpost, but its attack is not sufficient to stop a later artillery push alone. Keep the Regent inside when enemy units threaten the map’s victory objective and support the Castle with mobile troops. Because this building is scenario-specific, its rules should not be generalized to ordinary skirmish Town Centers or forts.
Map-specific objective protection
Since the Castle is tied to Regicide, the Regent’s survival is part of the match’s special victory condition. The building provides a defensible garrison and can receive shipments, but its 30-damage ranged attack is not enough to defeat a siege force unaided. Keep mobile defenders near the Castle and evacuate or protect the Regent if enemy artillery approaches.
Regent’s fortified headquarters
Regent’s Castle is a frontier fortification associated with The Asian Dynasties and Definitive Edition. It costs 250 Wood and 50 Coin, takes 60 seconds to build, has 6,000 hit points, and is limited to five. Up to four builders can work on it. The structure can garrison the Regent, as many as 20 Villagers, Homestead Wagons and healing units; it attacks nearby enemies and can receive Home City shipments. Its 32 line of sight and long-range weapons let it secure a broad area, but it remains a large, expensive target that needs support.
Defend the forward position
A Castle is useful when the Regent and nearby workers need a durable anchor that can also help repel attacks. Its ranged weapon has 24 range and deals 30 damage, with a 1.5× bonus against Cavalry; its artillery-style attack reaches 40 and deals 100 damage but is less effective against Siege units. Keep friendly troops nearby to deter a siege, and use the garrison to protect exposed workers when pressure arrives. The five-building limit and 6-by-6 footprint make placement a strategic commitment, so choose a site that protects an important route or settlement.
