Role, availability & values

Serdyuks are trained through the Military Folwark and other Revolution access points. Their recorded ranged attack reaches 14 and has an area effect; the unit also has 20% ranged resistance and occupies two population. Access and supporting units depend on the Revolution and mode.

Matchup & timing

Use the ranged attack against grouped units while another force holds the frontline. Keep Serdyuks out of melee with heavy cavalry, and account for their population cost when assembling a mixed revolutionary army. Protect their production site if the army depends on them.

Cossack Hetmanate ranged infantry

The Serdyuk is a revolutionary heavy infantry unit for the Cossack Hetmanate. It costs 75 Food and 90 Coin, uses two population and takes 40 seconds to train at a Military Folwark, European Barracks, Fort, Galleon or American Citadel. It has 300 hit points, 20% ranged resistance and Health Regeneration. The ranged attack deals 26 damage at range 14 every three seconds in an area of 1, with a 2.0 multiplier against Mercenaries and Native Warriors. Its 26-damage hand attack has a 2.0 multiplier against Cavalry and 1.2 against Shock Troops, giving it a response when mounted units close. Serdyuks are strong against Cavalry and Shock Troops but vulnerable to Light Infantry, counter-skirmishers and Artillery. Keep them behind a screen and use the Chyhyryn Regiment card or Guard Cossack upgrades when the revolution plan needs stronger replacements.

Regeneration and regiment upgrade

Serdyuks regenerate hit points and can be upgraded through the Cossack Hetmanate’s Guard Cossacks path after Grand Duchy of Ruthenia is selected. The upgrade costs 1,200 Wood and 1,200 Coin and grants 30% more hit points and damage. Their ranged attack is especially effective against Mercenaries and Native Warriors, while their hand attack can answer Cavalry that closes the distance. Keep them away from Light Infantry and Artillery, which are listed counters.

Cossack Hetmanate ranged area infantry

Serdyuks are infantry available after the Cossack Hetmanate Revolution. Their ranged attack has an area effect and reaches 14 range, allowing them to pressure grouped targets while another unit holds the frontline. At 300 hit points and 20% ranged resistance, they can survive some return fire, but four speed makes them vulnerable to heavy cavalry that can close the gap. Use the ranged attack from behind a screen and avoid sending the Serdyuk into melee when its area fire is more valuable.

Revolutionary production and population

Military Folwarks, European Barracks, Forts, Galleons and American Citadels are listed access points. Serdyuks cost 75 Food and 90 Coin, use two population and train in 40 seconds. The Cossack Hetmanate transition changes which workers and buildings are available, so confirm the new economy can support a two-population unit. Use Serdyuks when the opponent’s army groups together and the ranged splash can connect; pair them with cavalry or infantry that handles units able to rush the artillery line.
