Serow
Serow is huntable wildlife introduced in The Asian Dynasties. Each animal has 20 hit points and provides 400 Food, and up to eight gatherers can work its carcass. The animal is not trainable livestock; map placement determines whether workers can reach it safely.

Role, availability & values
Serow appear on Ceylon, Indochina, Borneo, Silk Road, Yellow River and Honshu. Settlers hunt the animal and gather its finite Food. The reference also lists passive gathering rates from Shrines and Food, Wood and Coin rates for Haciendas; those building interactions are distinct from ordinary Settlers hunting the carcass and depend on the applicable civilization and version.
Training & availability
The Asian Dynasties; huntable wildlife; 400 Food per carcass; up to eight gatherers; map-dependent appearance; not herdable livestock.
Matchup & timing
Scout for the herd before assigning workers and prepare another Food source as the 400 Food is depleted. Protect a distant hunt from raids and do not leave excess Villagers idle once the carcass is gone. If a Shrine or Hacienda is part of the active civilization's economy, check the relevant building's interaction rather than assuming the animal behaves like herdable livestock.
Map distribution and finite stock
The Asian Dynasties source lists Serow on Ceylon, Indochina, Borneo, Silk Road, Yellow River and Honshu. A Serow contains 400 Food, has 20 hit points and supports up to eight gatherers. It is a tropical huntable animal, so the location can be distant from the Town Center and the route may cross a contested part of the map. Scout before moving a large group and watch the remaining carcasses so Food production does not stop unexpectedly.
Settler hunting and building interactions
Settlers kill Serow and gather from the carcass; the animal cannot be trained or fattened as livestock. The source also records passive gathering-rate interactions: 0.0665 per second from a Shrine and 0.166667 Food, 0.25 Wood or 0.113334 Coin per second from a Hacienda. These are building-specific rates, not the ordinary Settler hunt rate, and should be applied only in a civilization and version where those structures can use the animal. The Home City card references further vary by civilization: Mexicans can use Baja California Territory after revolting to Baja California, and the United States has TEAM Lewis & Clark Expedition.
