Wood, availability & transport

Wood Cattle carries 100–500 Wood and grants a 10-Wood bounty when defeated. The recorded unit profile costs 100 Coin, takes 15 seconds to train, supports four gatherers, and has 30 hit points, speed 2.0 and 13 line of sight. It transports up to 20 units; each passenger adds 100 hit points and 0.05 speed, reaching 2,030 hit points and speed 3.0 when full. Use a Command Panel garrison order to load units; right-clicking the animal does not work.

Training & availability

Unknown-exclusive special unit; Indians-only auto-requirement listed in the source. Recorded profile: 100 Coin, 15 seconds, four gatherers; carries 100–500 Wood and up to 20 units.

Gathering & use

Use it only in a mode or scenario that makes this special cattle available. Its stored Wood and large carrying capacity can serve an economic or transport purpose, but it remains vulnerable when empty. Choose a safe loading and unloading route, and keep the carrier protected while it gathers or moves through contested ground.

Wood stores, gathering and transport

The Wood Cattle is a special resource carrier rather than ordinary Food livestock. The source gives its Wood amount as 100–500 and its kill bounty as 10 Wood. It can garrison up to 20 units of any type; each passenger adds 100 hit points and 0.05 speed, raising a full carrier to 2,030 hit points and speed 3.0. Load through the Command Panel rather than right-clicking. Its recorded empty profile remains 30 hit points and speed 2.0, so filling the carrier materially changes its durability and movement. Plan the unload location first: the stored resource and passengers are valuable only if the carrier reaches a safe destination.

Resource collection and fattening rates

The Wiki lists a Shrine gathering all resources at 0.1425 per second. A Hacienda gathers Food at 0.166667, Wood at 0.25 and Coin at 0.113334 per second; a Field gathers Food at 0.25, Wood at 0.17, Coin at 0.1885, Experience at 0.21 and Influence at 0.17 per second. A Livestock Market gathers Influence at 0.15 per second, or 0.5 when fattened. The separate fattening field gives 0.25 per second as the base rate, 0.5 at a Livestock Market, and 1.0 at a Livestock Pen, Farm, Village or Hacienda. These rates describe the special cattle record and should not be assumed for every herdable.

Cheat variant is a different profile

The article also documents a cheat variant created with the code “trojan cow.” It is not the Unknown-exclusive unit’s ordinary profile: the cheat version has 20 hit points, speed 4.0, 27 line of sight and a Wood amount ranging from 100 to 1,184. It can fatten for Wood and has an explosive attack with 20,000 siege damage at range 1, a 1.5-second attack interval, area-of-effect value 23 and a 2× bonus against buildings. The source describes it as a Petard-like explosive cow; friendly Villagers killing it do not trigger the explosion, and its corpse remains harvestable. Keep these cheat-only values separate from the regular Wood Cattle’s 30 hit points, 2.0 speed and 500-Wood maximum.
