Weapon Cache
Weapon Cache is a mission-placed building and scenario object found across Age of Empires III campaigns. Its destruction produces a large visual explosion; the explosion itself is not area damage. A mission may use its destruction to register progress, open a route or trigger another event, so practical effects depend on that scenario’s script.

Purpose and structure
The structure has 1,500 hit points, line of sight 14, a 2×2 footprint and yields 70 experience when destroyed. It has no ordinary production or research menu. Into the Caves requires eight caches destroyed. In Urgent News, Black Powder Wagons are supplied to destroy caches as the route is opened for Chayton Black. In Raid in Delhi, destroying them spooks nearby Riderless Elephants, which then attack the British East India Company. In Algiers, several caches containing Spanish gunpowder are targets for an optional objective.
Research condition
Campaign and Scenario Editor object · 1,500 hit points · line of sight 14 · 2×2 footprint · 70 experience on destruction. Objective effects are scenario-specific; the explosion is visual.
Mission interactions
Read the mission objective before attacking a Weapon Cache. Some scenarios count a set number of destroyed caches; others attach a scripted result to their destruction. Do not assume the animation damages nearby units or buildings: the explosion is visual, while mission outcomes are controlled by the scenario. The Maltese Depot in Knights of the Mediterranean is a separate building based on the Cache.
