Romania
Romania is an Industrial Age Revolutionary Nation for Ottomans and Russians, with Bucharest as its Home City. It converts workers into Dorobanți, improves Dragoons into Roșior Dragoons and turns Outposts or Blockhouses into recurring cavalry producers. Shipments also provide wagons to extend that network.

Access & effects
Population space becomes 200, or 210 for Russians. Settler, Yörük and Fishing Boat training is removed. Dorobanți replace Villagers and have increased hit points but two less ranged-attack range than ordinary Revolutionaries. Dragoons become Roșior Dragoons, with 15% less hit points, 15% more damage and 10% more speed. Each Outpost or Blockhouse spawns one Roșior Dragoon and gains one build limit; Home City shipments, including infinite shipments, provide an Outpost Wagon and another build-limit increase. Russian wagons become Blockhouse Wagons.
Availability

Army & economy
Romania rewards a player who can protect Outposts or Blockhouses and make shipments support an expanding network. Place the buildings where the army already controls the ground; each surviving structure adds cavalry over time. Dorobanți hold space while faster Roșior Dragoons add mobility, but they are not interchangeable: the Dragoon upgrade trades durability for damage and speed. Russian players use Blockhouses and have a different population cap, so plan the network for the parent civilization.
Dorobanți and Fort production
Dorobanți trade range for additional durability compared with the standard Revolutionary profile. They can hold ground but need careful positioning against enemies that can attack from farther away. Forts spawning Roșior Dragoons make existing defensive structures part of the reinforcement plan. Protect the Forts and use the Dragoons to add mobility to a force that could otherwise be tied to its buildings.
Expanding the Outpost network
Outpost Wagons from shipments let Romania extend its network, but each forward structure is an investment that must be defended. Place Outposts along a route the army already controls or where they protect an objective, and keep Dorobanți nearby while they are established. Avoid sending wagons deep into enemy territory alone. The production network can sustain pressure over time only if the player holds the ground and protects the buildings that generate units.
Romania’s Outpost and Blockhouse system
Romania is a defensive-building revolution with a repeating shipment effect. Each Home City shipment, including an infinite shipment, sends an Outpost Wagon and increases the Outpost or Blockhouse build limit by one. The revolution itself also increases the build limit and delivers a wagon; for Russians, the Outpost Wagon becomes a Blockhouse Wagon and builds Blockhouses instead. Each Outpost or Blockhouse spawns one Roșior Dragoon, so placing these structures creates both map control and recurring cavalry. This turns shipment timing into a positional decision: send a card when the wagon can be protected and the new building can cover an important area. The route becomes stronger as the player establishes multiple positions, but spreading buildings too thin lets the opponent destroy them one by one.
Dorobants and the converted workers
Settlers or Yörüks become Dorobants, and the ordinary Settler training line stops. Dorobants have the Revolutionary role with hit points, experience bounty for training and kills, and a two-point shorter ranged attack than the ordinary Revolutionary. The Russian population cap becomes 210 rather than the usual 200. The converted units are more resilient than Hungarian Grenzers, although they have less range. Military Frontier is an important shipment because it lets Dorobants build Outposts or Blockhouses, extending the construction network beyond the initial wagons. This creates a direct link between converted workers and the defensive strategy. Protect Dorobants while they build, since a lost builder slows both the economic recovery and the structure-based army plan.
Roșior Dragoons and structure support
Romania upgrades Dragoons to Roșior Dragoons, a Guard Dragoon variant with 15% fewer hit points, 15% more damage and 10% greater speed. Each Outpost or Blockhouse spawns one Roșior Dragoon. Their additional damage and speed support the mobile cavalry emphasis, while the lower health makes positioning important. Use the spawned cavalry to reinforce a nearby force or respond to threats around the structure; do not assume a single Dragoon can defend every building alone. The additional Outpost or Blockhouse limit from shipments supports more spawn points and more map coverage. Preserve the buildings long enough for repeated units and vision to repay their construction cost.
Romania compared with Hungary
Romania shares some shipment and building themes with Hungary, including Outpost Wagons and increasing structure limits, but the unit focus is different. Hungary emphasizes infantry options such as Hungarian Grenadiers and Magyar Hussars, while Romania can add Wallachian Horse Archers, Roșior Dragoons and an infinite shipment of two Horse Artillery. Dorobants also have a more resilient profile than the Grenzer comparison noted in the source, trading range for hit points. These differences matter when deciding which revolution fits the deck: choose Romania when cavalry, ranged cavalry and structure-spawned Dragoons suit the plan; choose the competing route when its infantry options are more useful. The repeated wagon mechanic is not enough by itself to make their armies identical.
Shipments that add units to buildings
Some Romania shipments make their named units available from Outposts, Blockhouses, Forts, Barracks, Taverns and Galleons, in addition to delivering an initial group. The source calls out the Hajduks, 12 Crabats and ten Pandours shipments for this broader production effect. That means the shipment has two values: the immediate reinforcement and an additional unit line that can be produced from several structures. Read which buildings gain the option and use those already established across the map. A forward Outpost or Blockhouse can become both a Roșior spawn point and a place to train one of the unlocked units. This is particularly useful once the army needs continued reinforcements, but each new production line competes for resources and population.
Choosing Ottoman or Russian Romania
Romania is available through the Ottoman and Russian paths, and the building identity changes how the strategy works. Ottomans use Outposts, while Russians receive Blockhouse Wagons and build Blockhouses. Russia begins with a 210 population cap under the revolution and has several ways to improve the usefulness of Blockhouses, making it the more natural fit for the structure-focused plan. The Ottomans can still leverage Outpost Wagons and the extra Roșior Dragoon spawns, especially with The Governor. Consider which defensive buildings and shipments the parent civilization already uses before revolting. A deck built around Russian Blockhouses can scale the network more consistently than one that has no prior building support.
Political choices and timing
For Ottomans, The Governor provides an Outpost Wagon in the Commerce Age and is a strong fit for Romania. Russians can choose the Logistician for a Military Wagon that can become a Blockhouse and supports more population. The Naturalist and Philosopher Prince help with economic growth or faster advancement; the Quartermaster provides Wood for additional structures. At Fortress Age, the Bishop can give Russians a Covered Wagon and economic support, while the Exiled Prince accelerates aging. At Industrial Age, the Logistician provides a Fort that fits the defensive plan, and the Ottoman Tycoon’s 1,000 Coin can accelerate the revolution. These options affect when and how many structures can be ready, so plan the build limit, wagon delivery and army around the chosen politician.
How the network snowballs
Romania’s building network can gain value with every shipment: a new wagon increases the build limit, each new structure gives a position and spawns a Roșior Dragoon, and some shipments add units that can be trained from the defensive buildings. The player can continue adding map control even if the first all-in attack is stopped. To make that work, protect builders, avoid placing isolated structures where the opponent can destroy them immediately and use the new spawn points to reinforce a coherent line. Military Frontier adds a way for Dorobants to extend the system themselves. The most important restraint is resource focus: repeatedly expanding Outposts without enough army production can leave the player with an impressive perimeter and no force able to defend it.
Using shipments as map-control investments
Romania’s repeatable wagon effect rewards a Home City cycle that expands a defendable network. Infinite shipments still deliver Outpost Wagons and increase the build limit, so they can continue strengthening positions after one-time unit shipments are gone. The player should not send a wagon automatically to the nearest empty ground: choose locations that protect a resource, connect two existing defenses or create a safe production line. If the opponent is preparing artillery, keep mobile units ready to defend the structures. The network is a lasting advantage only when it survives long enough to spawn Dragoons and support the rest of the army.
