Release and case opening
The Kilowatt Case arrived with the February 6, 2024 A Call To Arms update. It is an inventory container, not a weapon a player can purchase from the round Buy Menu. To open it, use the compatible Case Key; the opening consumes the case and key and awards one result from the case’s eligible pool. The key does not select a finish or guarantee a particular reward.
The regular weapon finishes and Kukri Knife special items are separate pools. The 17 standard finishes below are community-designed cosmetics tied to named weapons. Their grade describes item rarity, not strength: a finish does not improve its weapon’s damage, accuracy or handling.
Mil-Spec Grade weapon finishes
The seven Mil-Spec Grade entries are Dual Berettas | Hideout, MAC-10 | Light Box, Nova | Dark Sigil, SSG 08 | Dezastre, Tec-9 | Slag, UMP-45 | Motorized and XM1014 | Irezumi.
Restricted Grade weapon finishes
The five Restricted Grade finishes are Glock-18 | Block-18, M4A4 | Etch Lord, Five-SeveN | Hybrid, MP7 | Just Smile and Sawed-Off | Analog Input.
Classified and Covert Grade weapon finishes
The Classified Grade finishes are M4A1-S | Black Lotus, Zeus x27 | Olympus and USP-S | Jawbreaker. The Covert Grade finishes are AWP | Chrome Cannon and AK-47 | Inheritance. Together, the four regular grades account for all 17 named weapon finishes.
Rare special items: Kukri Knife
The separate rare special-item pool contains Kukri Knife finishes: the default Kukri Knife, Blue Steel, Boreal Forest, Case Hardened, Crimson Web, Fade, Forest DDPAT, Night Stripe, Safari Mesh, Scorched, Slaughter, Stained and Urban Masked. These 13 names describe versions of the knife model; they are not part of the 17 regular weapon-finish count.
Inventory context and availability
The Kilowatt Case follows the general Weapon Cases opening flow. Once obtained, a finish is an inventory item associated with its weapon and can be compared with other items in its Collections and Weapon Skins entries. Case rewards are cosmetic and do not change match equipment rules.
The case’s release date and contents are historical facts; they do not establish that the case is currently offered through a particular drop, store or event. Availability can change independently from the documented pool. This entry covers the CS2 case introduced in February 2024 and excludes containers or reward pools from other Counter-Strike editions.
